Have you ever wanted to do something, but the weather is never on your side? In my case, it’s been a while since I asked my mom where a secondhand bookstore was, because I need books in English. I really want to read in English, and I hate reading PDFs. It’s not the same. Besides, even on the bus, I can’t just take out my phone — my city, and the country in general, are really dangerous.

So, since I didn’t feel like studying, I went with my mom to buy some books from that bookstore. I got off the Metrovía at the Mercado Central station, and my mom went to La Bahía to buy some merchandise and a few ribbons for the Christmas tree, since she doesn’t want to hang light bulbs this year.

I went there alone, and I got there safely. I bought four books for $12. They seem nice, and they’re from the Oxford catalogue. I’m looking forward to reading them.
