Enough maths: The final Exam

Wednesday, December 17th, 2025.

I need 10/20 to get a 7 in maths, and I am optimistic that I got it today.

The final exam was at 11:30, and I felt nervous because it is an important exam, as it counts for 50% of the final grade. However, now that I’m reviewing some questions that I memorised in order to ask our favourite AI (Chat…), I’m noticing that I got them wrong 😓

Can you believe I got this formulation of equations wrong?

If María is 150% Antonio’s age and, after four years, the sum of their ages is 68, what will María’s age be in five years?

x = 36. So far, so good, but I thought "x" was María’s age four years later, and no, it was her age today. So I only had to add five.
36 + 5 = 41. But I added just one, so I marked 37. Damn.

I’m still optimistic that I can get a 5, but we’ll see next week when the grades are available. 😊

Having marked two answers that I believed were correct has really bummed me out (let alone the ones I marked at random). 😔

I went into the exam with a pretty great percentage (92%), but I’m afraid I didn’t do it justice.

Now I have the rest of the day and all of tomorrow to study physics, which I’ve actually been brushing up on since the weekend. This time, I put maths on the back burner. 💪

For physics, I need 12/20 to get a 7, and physics is more challenging for me than maths.

Wish me luck. I really need it.

PS: If this exam was difficult, they say the improvement exam will be easier.

Should I take it — or worse, will I need it? We’ll see.

Some of the incredible people I met during these months:
Pablo, Rebeca, José y Tatiana (only her hair appeared).
