The short life of money

It feels different spending money when it’s your money.

Today, I went to the bank to cash my first check!

My mom had told me to go to the mall for that, and she said she would go too to hang out, buy an ice cream, and have lunch there. I was like: I'm in. When I got there, I ran into my sister, haha. She came with me to the bank, then we went to the food court upstairs, and my mom was waiting for us. I got a yogurt ice cream—my favorite. Then, we ordered baked chicken with moro rice and cheese. It was great but not spectacular.

After that, we went to the grocery store and bought a ton of things. I paid for most of it. I got natural yogurt, granola, butter, oatmeal, chia seeds, and almond cream with cocoa. Some of it was for trying out overnight oats. My mom and sister also picked a few things. The thing is, at the end, I only had $7 left.

I promise you, I’ll be more cautious with my other payments!
