My awesome writing
Today, Mr. Gino gave us our quiz results!
I got 19.5/20.
The question was: Sir, do you have any _____?
The two most accurate options were luggage and carry-on bags. I chose the second one. It was wrong, obviously.
Nevertheless, he congratulated me for the story I wrote in the writing section and because, even though I messed up one question, I still got the highest grade of my class. Also, at the beginning of the class, he showed us the English Lab website, and I had the best average score there too! I was happy and proud of myself.
Speaking of the quizz, the task was to write about a bad experience while traveling using time-order expressions. It was supposed to be a 60-word paragraph, but I wrote a little more, hehe.
Do you want to know how I summed up our adventure to go to the river in Chanduy?
Here you go, dear friend:
During the recent Carnival, I went to Chanduy, a parish of Santa Elena, with my family to visit my dad's family there. One morning, we decided to go to the river. First, we got ready by packing our backpacks with water and mosquito repellent. Then, we started walking through a path full of trees and bushes. Next, we had to cross a river (not the main one), so we ended up wet up to our knees. After that, we continued walking for ten minutes. Finally, we got there only to find that the river wasn't flowing. At the end of our adventure, we ended up disappointed, bitten by mosquitoes, tired, and with our shoes full of mud.
PS: He liked my story and even wrote "awesome" on that part.
He handed back our quizzes so we could sign them and return them afterward. I didn’t take a photo because he said, "Put away your cellphones, please."
