An Unexpected Breakfast
It was 9 a.m., and I was headed to Servientrega to send a package to Cuenca
on behalf of my dad. When I arrived, it was closed. I had been there once
before, but I didn’t remember the correct schedule. The bodyguard told me it
would open at 10 a.m., and I found myself torn between waiting at a table or
returning home. Instead, I decided to go to Elizajo Café and have breakfast
there.
I ordered a bolón de queso, a fried egg, and a latte. It was
delicious! The bolón, which is made from mashed plantain, was big and
filled with cheese, while the latte was warm and super tasty. The service was
great, although I had to wait around 10 minutes—good thing I wasn’t starving!
Afterwards, I returned to Servientrega, and it was open. I checked the
schedule, and it turned out they opened at 9:30 a.m., which was the same time I
was waiting for my breakfast. I didn’t think I’d be having breakfast in a café
today, but well, cosas que pasan.
Pdta: Tuve que pagar el desayuno con mi money porque me salí del presupuesto, pero valió la pena!
